BECOME AWARE
You are going to see Vedome a lot. You may as well get hip now!
People think Vedome started as a T-shirt company.
I used to hate that.
Not because I don’t love tees, but because the tee was never the point. It was just the easiest thing the world could hold. The simplest vessel to carry an idea before people were ready to understand the message behind it.
Vedome never began as clothes.
It began as a feeling.
A memory.
A moment of awareness.
I didn’t start this brand to follow trends. I didn’t start it to fit into the fashion system. I started it because I was tired of waiting for someone else to create the things I already saw in my head. I wanted to build something irrevocable. Something you can’t touch, but somehow still feel.
Years ago, I watched an interview with Yohji Yamamoto filmed in 2011. At one point, he said, “Beautiful things are disappearing every day.” I heard that line, and it never left me. It felt true when I first watched it, and it feels even more true in 2025. So I made a choice. If beautiful things are disappearing, I will spend my life trying to put them back into the world.
That’s where Vedome really started.
I create from lived experience. From what I survived. From the moments that shaped me. The work is not really about fabric or silhouettes, even though I care about those things. It is about turning a feeling into something you can see, or touch, or remember. The clothes, the games, the books, the furniture, the visuals, the worlds. They are all tools. Simple ways to deliver emotion.
Vedome is storytelling first.
Emotion first.
Memory first.
Before fashion can make sense, you have to understand what came before it. The history. The purpose. The reason behind the thread. A lot of brands have forgotten about the “why” and just focus on the “what.” Vedome is anchored in the “why.” We exist to give shape to feeling and to shift the way you see the world.
Maya Lin once said she designs to make you think without telling you what to think. That sits deep in my spirit. That is what I want Vedome to be — an invitation, not instruction. A world you can step into and interpret for yourself.
That’s why I urge people to Become Aware. I don’t want to give you what you want. I want to give you something you didn’t know you wanted until you felt it. I’m not leading you toward the meaning. I’m putting the work into the world and letting you decide if it speaks to you.
A brand is not a label to me. A brand is a feeling. It is the quiet familiarity between creator and consumer. The moment something speaks to you without needing to announce itself. That sense of recognition you cannot fully explain but still trust.
That is why Vedome does not rely on logos. No loud branding. Only our custom font and the Vedome Green. If you know, you know. If you do not, you will in time.
Vedome should be felt before it is identified. Remembered before it is named. Recognized through the emotion it creates and the awareness it sparks.
“Vedome is not my livelihood. It is my passion. I do not need everyone to be tapped in. But for the ones who resonate, who feel, who understand that Vedome is a memory, a moment you return to, a feeling you do not want to lose. You are aware.” -P
